Run #2752 by Pukka Sahib at Anjung Indah

Run Report

This week's runsite brought us to the scenic Anjung Indah, the highest point along Jalan Tun Sardon, Balik Pulau. Known for its breathtaking viewpoint overlooking both sides of Penang Island, Anjung Indah truly lived up to its name. As this runsite is quite a distance for many members, it isn't chosen very often. Understandably, only a small crowd turned up for the 5.30 pm start. With such an intimate gathering, our GM didn't even need to shout for the circle—just a simple "Come, gather!" and we were off! There was a little pre-run drama too. The hare's lady boss had just returned from outstation, leaving the hare with little time to prepare. Instead of laying the paper in advance as usual, he only managed to set the trail about an hour before flag-off. Despite the last-minute rush, the hare delivered a surprisingly enjoyable route. Instead of the usual brutal uphill punishment, runners were treated to a fun, relaxing trail that felt like exploring a giant natural playground. The winding forest paths led us to a beautiful viewpoint before looping us back through more lovely single tracks all the way to the runsite. Back at the finish, everyone was rewarded with a delicious home-cooked dinner, followed by a fantastic durian feast generously prepared by the hare. As word spread, a few more members arrived just in time to join our "dinner club" and indulge in the king of fruits, making the crowd a little bigger than at the start. The evening wrapped up with a romantic down-down session filled with plenty of laughter, jokes, and great fellowship. A perfect reminder that Hash isn't just about the trail—it's about the friendships, the food, and the fun we share together. On On! 🍻🍈
